  We are back at the home of Glamorgan Cricket team, Cardiff’s SSE Swalec Stadium, this weekend for the first of three home games as part of the Royal London One-Day Cup. Sunday sees Glamorgan take on Surrey, and as usual we are providing our EAW Micro-wedges and engineers to take care of stings, presenters, and pitch-side entertainment. The Swalec Stadium will also see Glamorgan play Somerset on the 5th of May, and Essex on the 7th of May. We were very pleased to spend Easter Saturday at the Principality Stadium for Judgement Day V – the annual Welsh rugby double derby - which last year attracted a record breaking crowd of over 68,000 spectators. The teams played in the same order as last year, with Cardiff Blues winning the first match against the Ospreys, and the Scarlets beating the Dragons in the second game. As usual we were providing audio support in bowl. This year we also had the pleasure of meeting and providing equipment for local duo Into The Ark who performed a short but astounding set before the first match, and Judgement Day regular DJ Spoony who kept the crowd roused between the games! The annual horticultural show takes place in Cardiff’s Bute Park and promises to welcome Spring in style with activities for all the family, and as usual we are providing sound support for the RHS Bandstand. We will be providing our Logic Systems CA rig, microphones, and one of our trusty sound engineers for the entire weekend. Visit us at the RHS Bandstand for live music every day of the show from 11am to 5pm, featuring some of the finest musicians from Cardiff and surrounding areas! We are very pleased to be working with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales again this weekend. The Geek Musique series, which will be performed at the St David’s Hall this Saturday, the 25th of March, will celebrate music from the world of Sci-Fi. The Sound of Sci-Fi will feature iconic music from big screen movies, including pieces from Star Wars and E.T. The evening show, Cult TV Classics, visits theme tunes from the likes of Doctor Who and Cagney & Lacey. We will be supplying our Coda P.A. system, an Allen & Heath GLD mixing desk, our Shure KSM9 radio microphones, and two of our finest sound engineers! It’s that time of year again! ABacoustics are glad to be back at our second home, the Principality Stadium, working alongside VSI, for this year’s RBS 6 Nations Rugby tournament. The 'blues are away’ this year which means that Wales face England and Ireland at home, and, as usual, we will be providing audio support for the event. This year we are also proud to be providing technicians and equipment for the Wales Women’s 6 Nations Rugby home games. We will be heading to the Cardiff Arms Park with our EAW Micro Wedge 15’s in tow to distribute sound to the fans in the stands. We look forward to working with our friends at the Principality Stadium, Event 360 & the WRU to make these events a great success.

Located at the site of the former Criterion pub on the High Street, Platform 11, which will open on November 12, aims to be a new venue for local DJ’s to showcase their music.                 The owners were keen to have the same sound system as that used in Sankeys nightclub in Ibiza and so we sourced a Void pa system appropriate for the downstairs club and dancefloor. This includes Void Air Vantage and Void Indigo 6’s and Powersoft amplifiers. ABacoustics were delighted to be a part of the first Proms In The Park to take place in North Wales. We took our trusty EAW 730 PA system and Logic Systems CA rig to Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay to provide sound for the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales, and their special guests:  Tony Hadley, Amy Wadge, Wynne Evans, and BBC Young Musician 2016, Sheku Kanneh-Mason. We also supplied all of our DPA 4060 and 4099 microphones for the string section of the orchestra - which left our shelves looking quite bare in the workshop! Saturday's fantastic gig. Behind the falling poppies are Mike Peters, current members of The Alarm, John Quirke MD, Welsh Pops Orchestra and the Acquire choir. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen - 94 mics/DIs and two Midas consoles at FOH . One of the best shows I've ever been involved in. Some of the songs are over 30 years old and are still good songs, but with the orchestration sounded sensational. ABacoustics provided loudspeaker system (EAW KF730), monitor system, consoles (Midas PRO1 and PRO2),  microphone package and engineers.
